Book Review By Tanya
Hard Day's Knight by Katie MacAlister

Recently unemployed and unattached computer programmer Pepper Marsh was convinced by her cousin CJ that she would find the perfect man for her at a jousting competition at the Ontario Renaissance Faire. CJ has found the perfect person for not only herself there but 3 of her friends also.

Pepper finally agrees to dress up as a wench and as it happens she is immediately saved by her “Knight in Shining Armor” the very first time she set foot out of her tent. He just doesn't know it yet. Unfortunately, the sexy knight, with the very deep velvety voice didn't seem as taken with her as was in trading insults with the man who almost ran her down. Walker McPhail, was once a champion jouster until the day he crippled an opponent. Since then, he stayed out of the ring, preferring to train and squire other jousters. This does not stop the attraction of Pepper and Walker though and Pepper is not about to let him keep brooding or get away.

As Pepper and Walker get closer together they are also set upon by tragic accidents to Walker's Jousting Company. Someone is trying to hurt them and take them out of the competition.   Along the way there are also many humorous scenes with Moth the maniacal cat that is still with Pepper.
