Plot Summary of Rogue Warrior
"Richard Marcinko....ex U S Navy SEAL and spec. warrior, brings the real story of life in the elite U S Navy SEALS from Vietnam to the late eighties and ultimately to his imprisonment. His Government trained him, released him to do what he does best and then imprisoned him for doing such a good job, they even tried to ban his story!! Now you can see what it's like to crawl through the jungles of southeast Asia (with bad guys trying to kill you), jump from an aircraft at 35,000 ft and then take out terrorists with controlled aggression. This is the Real Deal and a great read."
PAUL HOWLETT, Resident Scholar

" This is the tale of the Founder of SEAL Team 6, Richard Marcinko, a.k.a. the Sharkman of the Delta. A rogue warrior who placed the lives and welfare of his men above the Navy's outmoded, outdated policies. A Vietnam veteran who managed to win his battles despite the obstinancy of the bureaucrats above him.

This book shows the evolution of a young enlisted Navy recruit into a hard-charging, take-no-prisoners Officer during the harshest wartime period America has yet seen, Vietnam. Along the way he cajoled, threatened, and essentially kicked rumps until he got what he wanted, namely, a chance to prove that America would not fail when it was time to go to war. Eventually, it earned him rank, and rancor, amongst the established pencil pushers and bean counters of the Navy, which led to his dismissal and a brief stint in prison on dubious charges.
