Plot Summary of Strategically Wed
"As a police sting operation Officer Maggie Bennington marries Officer Griff Murdock, a man she blamed for the bad relationship she had with her father. After bullets start flying right after the wedding and Griff is shot she finds herself really married to him in order to help capture the unknown shooter. After a short recovery in the hospital, as soon as it is safe for Griff to leave, they are sent away to a cabin for their "honeymoon" and secluded so Griff can heal. Immediately the tension is as thick as fog as Griff battles his longing to hold Maggie and she fights to keep her independence to rely on no one.

Any little accidental touch from the other sets them off running in the opposite direction but being cooped up in a small cabin with no where to go doesn't leave much space to run. Finally the tension builds to bursting and Griff approaches Maggie knowing she feels this attraction too and soon they find themselves in bed together. The next day while out fishing a package arrived from the shooter. They had been found.

They quickly get in their vehicle and head for town to get phone service to call it in to their superior. Along the way a car chase takes place and bumps them off the road. A passing car sees it and stops and Maggie is taken to the hospital for head injuries. After being checked out and their superior officer arrives she is brought back to the cabin and Griff leaves with the other officer. The uneasiness he is feeling has them turning back to the cabin. They walk in to find Maggie in bed where she was left, only with someone standing over her smothering her with a pillow. Griff walks in on time and the perpetrator is arrested. The case is now solved and all parties involved can now get on with their lives. Maggie leaves town and Griff is left in charge of annulling the marriage. However, he shows up in her new town asking for a real marriage.
