"A gripping Fantasy Debut from a promising new author. You will get that impression when you read this novel which is a brilliant combination of Robert Jordan and Stephen King. Travis WIlder-a barkeeper and Grace Beckett-a young doctor are taken from our world into the world of Eldh. This medieval-style world is menaced by sinister minions of a ancient evil called the Pale King who had tried to conquer this world centuries and is held in eternal prison called runegate. These two people with the help of Eldh friends must navigate the often deadly waters of politics in this strange world and must convince the Council of Kings of the terrifying threat to their world. Travis, himself must try to understand his ability to wield magical runemagic and Grace finds herself embroiled in court intrigue. This novel has scenes of chilling dark magic, peril, intrigue and it is dripping with atmosphere and plot twist to spare. You won't forget Travis or Grace and the world of Eldh. "
