"David wanted to be a friend to his next door neighbor, but his neighbor was jealous of the good home life that David had so he pretended to be David's friend. When these two boys got older, the friend tried to steal from David. They then became enemies. Later in life, David decided to get even with his old childhood friend. Suddenly David's wife comes up dead. The Detective's Joe and Eddy have to solve the crime of who killed David's wife."

"David Joseph Epstein is a classic detailed study of one man's obsessive compulsion for vengeance that is so overwhelming that he destroys himself and almost everyone in his sphere of friends and acquaintances. The fact that many of these minor characters are almost as bad as him is reinforces the lengths he goes to claim his vengeance and the damage he does to the few good folks in this 371-page novel.

"Have No Mercy
By Bobby Ruble
Greed, deceit and murder are the three main ingredients in “Have No Mercy.” There is more than one crime committed, however. Crimes without bodies, crimes against spouses, crimes within the law for which there are no penalties. Although it's not obvious in the beginning, all major characters seem to have an ulterior motive for most of their actions.
Ann thinks she has landed the perfect husband, one whose money and social position is exactly what she has always expected. David thinks he has the perfect wife, one who is brilliant, beautiful and loyal. Both are disappointed.
Todd needs money; Rennie needs a home and children. Theirs could be the ideal marriage, but their money and house do not make a home. They are childless, and not a single other need is fulfilled.
I usually try to guess what is going to happen in a suspense novel. For those of you who think you can figure out what's going to happen before the end, you will be in for a surprise. Bobby Ruble has no mercy.
"
