Plot Summary of Discover the Destroyer
"David, Jalil, April, and Christopher have been charged with the mission of finding four magic items; the sword, spear, stone, and cauldron of the dragon Nidhoggr that the fairies had robbed from his treasure pile. They have to find the items or die because the dragon has exchanged their hearts for rubies and if they don't find the treasure in six days the rubies will light on fire killing the host. They travel to fairy land where Jalil constructs a telegraph and modern electricity in order to make the necessary money to buy back the stolen items yet it still looks like they might not make it in the end. David manages to uncover a plot to kill the dragon and this enrages Nidhoggr to the point that he travels to fairy land himself to punish the fairies. This still might not help the band because the rubies in their chests have started to burn and time is running out on them."
