I was just given Blue Bistro as an end the year gift from one of my second graders. (Her mom loved the book!) What a gift it was! As a mom of six boys, I don't often find time to read, but brought this along on our first camping trip after school ended for the summer. I managed to read the whole book and have since read The Beach Club and just purchased The Castaways. I'm hooked! (By the way, I loved reading the post by Ms. Hilderbrand's 2nd grade teacher!)

I have read almost all her books this summer,and love them. I am going to start The Love Season,and then will just have Silver Girl left to read. Someone was asking about any authors comparable. I am a huge Jodi Picoult fan, and I have also been reading a lot of books with Nantucket/beachy themes by Nancy Thayer.

I read The Blue Bistro a while back, and just finished The Beach Club. I know Mack is mentioned a few times in Blue Bistro, but can't remember if it ever mentions a significant other. Don't want to spoil for others who haven't read both, but just want to know if he gets a happy ending?

Why has "The Castaways" not been made into a movie? All her books are great, but that one has screenplay written all over it!

I LOVE Elin Hilderbrand. I picked up one of her books one day when I was browsing at the bookstore and have now read all of them. She is by far my favorite author. I am now at a loss as to what to read until her new book comes out this summer. Any suggestions??

I just discovered Hilderbrand's books this past summer and I love them! ALL!
Please just keep writing. I feel so at home with your characters & want the stories to never end.
Favorite ???? Hard to say! Barefoot, Castaway's, The Blue Bistro, etc., etc.

I just began reading your books a few months ago. I just finished "The Beach Club". I think where you left off would make a great new beginning! What do you say...a sequel?!!
