Alexis: My True Story of Being Seduced By an Online Predator is the biography of Alexis Singer, then a frustrated, attention-seeking high school senior with plans for the future, like you and me. One day while visiting an internet chat room, the young girl meets a man who portrays himself as a friend and confidant. Little did Alexis know that this man was an online predator with plans of his own by coercing her into the dark underworld of cyber abuse and psychological mind control.

Best part of story, including ending:
This story touched me deeply because I could relate in a personal way to Alexis's naivety, myself a survivor of a similar situation.
Best scene in story:
My favorite scene was when the girl's mother learned of the abuse her daughter was experiencing and stepped in to help Alexis stop the turmoil. In psychological abuse, the perpetrator often has full control of the victim's mind to where things that a victim may not normally do are blurred to normalcy. As a result, it often takes the assistance of a caring parent, co-worker, therapist, etc. to break the cycle.
Opinion about the main character:
Through no fault of her own, I hated that Alexis was so naive and innocent and left herself exposed to this kind of abuse. More than that, I did not like the fact that despite the abuse, she did try to defend the man's actions and want to keep some form of contact with him.
