Elena Estes, a former Palm Beach County detective turned stable girl, is out for a ride on a horse and stumbles on a dead body. She calls her former colleague to inform and, once he arrives, they discover that the body is of a friend and co-worker at the stable. As expected, Estes decides to run an investigation parallel to that of the police, which leads her to the wealthy world of polo ponies and people she knew in her former life;people she knew harbored secrets.

Best part of story, including ending:
It is an interesting plot and though you may be able to deduce who the real killer is, what they have to overcome to be able to prove the case proves challenging and exciting.
Best scene in story:
My favorite scene was the first time she ran into her ex-fiance and his reaction. She was a real smart mouth and it was quite entertaining.
Opinion about the main character:
I like that she picks herself back up no matter what is dealt to her and keeps moving on.
