This wasn't an example of Linda Howard's usually exceptional writing. I thought the characters were under-developed and it was a chore to read. It's an under developed "love" story of Jessica and Nikolai who are trying to overcome their fear of trusting each other wholeheartedly while learning the true meaning of love.

Jessica Stanton has made a BIG mistake, she went against Nikolas Constantinos, a Greek billionaire with a great deal of power, a deep seated distaste for her and a deep seated feelings of passion . . . for her. He believes every negative comment the tabloids have ever alluded about her and her deceased husband. Now they fight a battle, one for power in business, and one for the other's heart.
