|Plot Summary of An Iron Rose|
The book starts with an apparent Aboriginal suicide. Protagonist, Mac Faraday, an ex Federal cop, does not believe this theory and attempts to disprove it. If it wasn't suicide it must have been murder. Faraday discovers leads to a local detention centre for girls after finding newspaper articles among Ned's possession about a young girl's body being found in a disused mine shaft. As he progresses with his investigations other murders occur, some are witnesses he has spoken to. At the same time as this action is being taken Faraday's past and the reason for his career in the Federal Police coming to an end are revealed.
