|Plot Summary of Buxton Chase|
Robert Jenkins and Charles LaBurdge are murdered. Charles' nephew, Martin, and Robert's daughter, Sara, decide to bring the murderers to justice. Difficult to do because Martin lives in Chicago, and Sara lives in Plymouth, England, plus the murders appear to be death by natural causes. They convince the attending physician, Dr. Greff to order autopsies and try, unsuccessfully, to get the local detective, Jim McGowan to give the murders his full attention. When McGowan balks, Sara and Martin solve the murders. They meet Lillian Humphrey, her son Arthur, Stanley Robertson, his daughter Laura, lawyers, engineers, business people, and the explore the English countryside as they, at much risk to themselves, chase down the killers.
