His Grace Captain Vimes has been given a diplomatic mission - go to the Uberwald, attend the investment of the dwarfish Low King, and open negoations for the Uberwald fat mines' production. Lucky he brought along Sybil, Cheery Littlebottom, and Detritus to help him negotiate the unfamiliar terrain. But what a pity he left Carrot in charge back home - when Angua gets a personal summons, Carrot leaves too, and the Watch goes to hell in a handbasket. Carpe Jugulum is a slight improvement over Pratchett's other recent output - worth reading.

His latest in paperback involving the witches of Lancre. The vampires of Uberwald have "invaded" Lancre and they are indestructable and so...modern, to Igor's dismay.
Entertaining and light. Better than the last stories Mr. Prachett has put out in recent years.
