Detailed Plot Synopsis of Empires of Light

This book is about three men: Thomas Edison creates the incandescent light bulb,and is master mind of the first direct current electrical light networks. Greoge Westhouse, Pittsburgh, inventer and tough corporate entrepeneur, is an industrial idealist who in the era of gaslights imagined a world powered by cheap and plentiful electricity and worked heart and soul to create it. Nikola Tesla is elegant, highly eccentric, and a dreamer who revolutionized the generation and delivery of electricity.   This is a story of how these men made electricity easy and available for all of us to use.
