Esperanza Rising Book Review Summary

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Esperanza Rising

Esperanza is the richest girl in the town in Mexico because her father owns a huge ranch and earns a lot of money. But when her father is killed by bandits when he was traveling to buy some avocadoes at night, Esperanza and her mother are agasted. Esperanza's evil uncle comes and asks her mother if she wants to marry him so that the ranch can keep going and Esperanza can have a good education at a boarding school. Esperanza's mother refuses, and he says that she will regret saying that.
The next day there is a fire that destroys the whole ranch, which was obviously set by the uncles, and Esperanza's mother agrees to marry him. But the next day early in the morning, Esperanza and her mother run away to California to do field work. While working there, Esperanza learns what real life for Mexicans is like.
