Bailey Fowler has escaped from prison for murdering his ex-girlfriend. Private Investigator Kinsey Millhone gets involved in the case and disocers that Bailey may not be guilty, and that the killer may have in fact gone undetected. Definietly one of the better Kinsey Millhone books.
