Princess Calista of the summer few court is destined for great power and a great love. Calista is princess of the summer Fea court. For years she has trained and prepared for the prophesied day she would forever change the Fea realm but not expecting the day that her own world would forever change. During her guardian ball, a grand event that marks the coming of age and assignment of a personal guard and lifelong friend, Caslista meets Ryder of the winter court. Neither could have predicted the instant and magical connection that blossoms between them, nor that their newfound love would set the Prophecy into motion. No one knows exactly what was happening; the Prophecy only stated that they were destined to change the fea realm forever. Ryder, with newfound determination to win Calista, upsets Calista's new guardian, lifelong friend Merrick who also secretly love Calista. Once the rivals begin fighting in earnest Calista is kidnaped and it takes the both of them and some fairy help to get her back. An unknown enemy, someone who knows that the Prophecy refers to Calista and Ryder stopping his quest for domination, not only kidnaps Calista to drain her life force, but also begins to target their families. During a daring raid Ryder and Merrick rescue Calista but not without cost; Merrick saves Ryders life so that Calista may find true happiness in her destiny with Ryder. Still grieving over her best friends death yet joyful over her new love, Calista and Ryder finally marry and the fulfillment of the prophecy is realized with the creation of a fall court in which Calista and Ryder reside as King and Queen.
Best part of story, including ending:
I loved the magic and ingenuity at which the creation of the Fall realm was created.
Best scene in story:
My favorite scene was when Merrick realized that although he love Calista, she was destined for someone else and accepted it.
Opinion about the main character:
I disliked how fast Calista was to accept Ryder and disregard Merrick.
