Samantha is warned that Mr. Alexander sleeps around, and she only wants a professional relationship with Mr. Alexander. He, however, wants something else.

He pursues Samantha relentlessly and arrogantly. One minute she fights him. The next minute she can't resist him. One night, after Samantha insists on leaving, they wind up sleeping together. She finds herself fighting the idea that she is in love with him, and she is hurt when Samantha finds Mr. Alexander spending more and more time with Ebony, a beautiful blonde that comes from a family of money - that just so happens to be financially backing the entire play.

Samantha finds herself pregnant and facing the possibility that she might not finish the play. She decides not to tell Mr. Alexander about the pregnancy and tries to finish her role in the play without letting on to her secret. Will her career be over? Will true love be lost?
