Woody Strode, one of the most unheralded Black actors to ever grace a movie screen, writes an informative look at his athletic past (football player and wrestler, respectively) and his contributions to the cinema. Throughout the book, Strode drops a few familiar names with which he had direct dealings. The book covers much of the mid-20th century up until the early 90's, the time that the actor had become an octogenarian.
