Anita Blake lives in alternate world where vampires, werewolves, and other magical creatures live side by side with humans and have civil rights! Anita is the executioner, a person who kills rogue vampires and raises the dead for a living. She also helps the police solve crimes that deal with the supernatural. Anita is hired(or threatened) by the city's master vampire to find a serial killer targeting vampires.
