Just a few days after leaving Dante as heir the Marquis mysteriously dies, though it is ruled a suicide Dante fears darker motives at work. Dante soon finds there is a catch to inheriting. He must marry Lady Esme.

Esme and Dante have a whirlwind relationship of passion that, at it's worst, threatens their future together. Throug a thicket of lies Esme is even thrown into suspicion on an attempt made on Dante's life. Can their love prevail and will they manage to find the real killer before it is too late?
