To raise Chantal's hopes, Jean-Marc sends her an anonymous love letter. He expects that Chantal will tell him about it and laugh it off, but instead, she says nothing of it to him. Jean-Marc continues sending her letters, but he is troubled by her lack of disclosure. Chantal becomes obsessed with figuring out who her admirer is, and when it is revealed that Jean-Marc is the author of the letters, they have a big fight.
