This is the story of Dave Davies' life, beginning with his childhood in London, followed by the Kinks success in the British Invasion when he was a mere 17 years old. Discussed in the book is the Kinks' initial stardom, a ban on their releases in the U.S. for several years, and the comings and goings of several band members. In the 70's and 80's, Davies talks about his family life and his solo career, which continues to the present day.
