Schnickler tells separate short stories about several young adults in Manhattan. However, each character is associated with the same apartment building on the Upper West Side. As the author intertwines the sex lives, the romantic relationships, and the personal delusions of each of his characters, the reader will empathize with the difficulty in finding one's soulmate in a city of millions of people. Kissing In Manhattan is truly a captivating novel that makes us all crave a bit of eccentricity in our beds.
