A spoiled brat is what 26 year old LaRaine is and Travis McCrea has no problem telling her so. After being thrown off the movie she had a small part in, she goes to Travis's house to ask him for help. He refuses to give her money but does offer her a job so she can earn it to go back home. While learning to cook, clean, and take care of the house she falls in love with both the barren dry, dusty ranch and the man who owns it. When he catches her in his desk he tells her she's leaving and he'll give her the remaining money she needs to get home to get her out of there. Later, he finds her crying and she admits to loving him and not wanting to leave.
