Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Letters To Kelly

This is the story of T. Jackson (Jax) Winchester and Kelly O'Brien. Jax and Kelly met when she was 12. He was 18 and her brother Kevin's college roommate. The two become friends as Jax becomes close to the O'Brien family. Over the years, Jax's feelings for Kelly gradually shift from friendship to love as she gets older. Finally, when she is 16, he escorts her to her prom when her date cancels at the last minute. It's then that he realizes he's fallen in love with her. Knowing he's too old for her, he promises to wait for her and marry her when she turns 18. Jax takes a job in London that leads him to Central America. There he becomes a political prisoner for nearly two years. The only thing that keeps him going is his love for Kelly and and the imaginary letters he writes to her. When Jax disappears and doesn't show up on her 18th birthday, Kelly thinks he's abandoned her and she's crushed. She tries to get on with her life by marrying a guy she meets in college. When Jax is finally released from prison, he comes home to find out Kelly is married. Although he's heartbroken, he realizes he must step aside. Finally, four years later, Jax finds out Kelly has divorced and he can pursue his dream to marry her. Kelly however has no idea why Jax disappeared all those years ago. Thinking all his promises were meaningless, she doesn't trust him. But Jax is determined to woo her back.
