She fears for her safety so she lets him believe the lie so she can remain safe in his house. Soon after they are married she falls in love with his young sisters and him as well but is afraid to reveal her secret. He has a dark past also and is torn between telling her and ridding himself of his nightmares or losing her to the shock of the secret. She finally comes to terms with her own identity and has to confess who she really is, but will Damon understand and love her for her name or for herself?
