Grace Merridew is one of the famous Merridew diamonds, the last of four sisters and the only one that is not married. Dominic Wolfe does not want to go through with the marriage, either, but he must if he wishes to inherit the family castle. He vows that if Melly marries him, it will be in name only. Dominic and his mother were mistreated by his father when he was growing up, so he desperately wants the family inheritance, so he can destroy in revenge for his mother's pain.

Together, they work to bring glory back to the lands and the tenents, and with the help of her family, the find a solution for everyone.
