Phantasma Book Summary and Study Guide

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Phantasma

Alphie Brewster is a high school student who suffers from narcolepsy. Her narcoleptic episodes have rendered her an outcast in school. When she and her sister Robyn are holding a yard sale, Alphie finds an amulet that belonged to her late grandfather. The amulet summons a spirit called Noer into her world, who needs to possess someone to live in the non-spirit world. Alphie is torn between her attraction for the spirit Noer who is slowly draining her energy and her new neighbour Cary, who is hiding a terrible secret. But Alphie herself has an unknown and mysterious past, the key to which is held by her great grandfather's amulet.

Best part of story, including ending: This is a dark young adult paranormal romance with an unusual plot and good chemistry between the lead characters.

Best scene in story: The lucid dreaming scene where Alphie visits Noer's world.

Opinion about the main character: Although the book is good, I am not very fond of the main character as she is a typical YA lead with low self-esteem.
