A Prince of a Guy Book Summary and Study Guide

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of A Prince of a Guy

Dr. Kate Stonewall, a psycholagist with a soon-to-be syndicated radio show, is on a crusade to save women from bad relationships. Widowed with two kids, her late husband was a failed athlete who became a sports maniac. In waiting for Mr. Right, she has a very strict rule: no sports fans.

Jeff Hardin works at the same radio station as the personality behind a sports show. Unknowingly, he moves in next door to Kate. Although he makes a bad first impression, he quickly becomes Kate's helpful neighbor. Their situation, along with Kate's son's interest in baseball and a Memorial Day picnic complete with water skiing lessons, forces them to become better acquainted.

While the two are attracted to each other, Kate resists, believing that they are too different to form a lasting relationship. Jeff, however, is determined to prove her wrong. Before Jeff succeeds, the two rid themselves of their exes: Jeff his young cheerleader girlfriend and Kate her almost-successful conman boyfriend (tried to get her to invest in bad stocks).
