Mystery writer Jessica Fletcher is set up to spend a month in Provence, France. She is enrolled in cooking lessons with famed chef Emil Bertrand when he ends up getting murdered. She and her new young friend, Mallory, become suspects when Bertrand's carving knife, the murder weapon, are found nearby. Jessica knows that she is innocent and that the police are barking up the wrong tree, so she begins her own investigation and, once again, solves the mystery.
