Sanctuary Book Summary and Study Guide

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Sanctuary

A small town lawyer passing through on his way to his sister's home as he leaves his wife and the stepdaughter he's lusting after stumbles across a rundown homestead where liquor is made. A young woman and her boyfriend wreck their car in the same area, and end up at the house also. The man gets drunk and the girl gets molested, despite the best efforts of a former prostitute who lives there. A man ends up dead, the girl is deserted by her companion and then kidnapped by the killer. The lawyer, now safely ensconced in town, finds out that the owner of the land is in jail for a murder he didn't commit, terrified that if he tells what he knows the real killer will murder him as well. A twisted tail of prostitutes, lawyers, families, lusts, and betrayal.
