Injured in a train robbery, Regina Shelton awakens with no memory of who she is, and in the arms of the most handsome man she has ever laid eyes on. He calls her "Elizabeth", his brother James was to wed her. James is dead now, and Slade Delenza must take his place, to save Miramar, his family ranch. Though his eyes and thoughts seek her out he must obstain. His honor to his dead brother demands it. it will be a marriage in name only.

Regina remembers who she is 2 days before the wedding but holds her tongue . She is afraid Slade will not marry her if he knows the truth. Unbeknownst to Slade his father Rick knows who she is and keeps his secret. Rick met the real Elizebeth and is glad Regina is not her. After a wedding night of Passion, Slade leaves. He can not be near her and keep his desires in check.

Heartbroken Regina travels to San Fransisco to seek Slade out, and have her wealthy laywer uncle draw up divorce papers. Regina confronts Slade and reveals her identity. She also realizes Slade is different than the cowboy he was on the ranch.He is a   talanted, kindhearted businessman. Love blooms again but opsticals fall in their path.
