“Vegans eat” is Clementines response to anyone who asks. One thing this sassy L.A., sou chef knows is healthy food. Growing up on a farm known for its beautiful organic raw fare, and making healthy eating are what Clementine knows best. When meat eaters can't get that these things define who she is, it leaves her feeling exasperated. She's always known that would work her way to the title of top healthy eating chef. Her first year at a vegetarian cooking school starts off on a journey of discovery. Clementine goes all out experiencing In and Out burgers and grease for the first time in her life. Two months later, she is groggy and feeling out of shape from indulging in fast food, and desserts and fruity beverages with insane sugar counts.

Realigning her goals of becoming a vegetarian chef return and Clementine is back on top of her game. Employed at a swanky Emil Jones restaurant she gets the opportunity to show her stuff when Emil takes an unexpected medical leave of absence.
As one of L.A.'s top food critics show up unexpected and dines on one of Clementines better dishes all systems seem to point to go for a career upgrade. In addition to striving for to become a top rate chef, Clementine has been working on a plan to open a Skinny Bitch Cooking School, in preparation for her own cafe.
She finds the perfect spot and is severely bent out of shape to learn that Zack Jeffries plans on purchasing the same space. The man wants to open a steak house. e's a carnivore, there is no way Clementine is going to give up her dream local to a meat eater.
Zack, is suave, handsome and persuasive. Clementine is a hard on Zach, but his mind is made up. He will have the space he's selected for his restaurant, and the fine as hell Clementine. Zack is sure he can persuade her on both counts.
They decide to hang out. Clementine is intrigued by Zach on a physical level although she continues to have a problem with having too much to do with a meat eater. She can't deny the attraction and Zack is very straightforward in a cool, not creepy kind of way.
Clementine finds herself fantasizing about having sex with Zach. She's becoming obsessed with the idea. Before she has a total meltdown an opportunity presents and Clementine and Zack are working things out beneath the sheets.
Zack learns he will not get the okay to expand the restaurant space both he and Clementine have bid on. To make up for the distress he has caused her, Zack offers her the winning lease plus $25,000 for equipment. She turns him down flat. Clementine is determined to make it on her own, she's found an alternate location and turns down Zack's offer cold. He's a generous billionaire who learns that the all women are not gold diggers.
As Clementine and Zack find out, love can come with or without meat as an entree.

My favorite scene is when she returns Zack's check and the lease, opting to make her own way.

I liked that Clementine was a strong go-getter.
