When Ben comes to work at Heartland it doesn't go as smoothly as everyone had hoped for. Ben's training methods are much harsher than what Amy and Ty use. Ben sees the positive effects of the treatments used at the ranch but it takes a crisis to make him more sensitive. After Ty and Amy save Ben's show horse Red from accidental poisoning they finally work together as a team.
