Dave Weston, a small-city newspaper reporter (and sometime private investigator) is suddenly drawn into the most dangerous situation of his life, and his existence is altered beyond his wildest imaginings. At first, his friend Bob's story strikes Weston as unbelievable; but dark forces soon close-in to prove otherwise. To stay alive, Weston begins an arduous cross-continent journey toward the truth about "The Alaska Incident"--and why so many died in silence at the base on the remote reaches of the frozen tundra.

An alien craft is accidentlly destroyed at a base in Alaska and aliens take revenge. US Government envokes coverup in which only witnesses are tracked down and eliminated but story is passed to a middle-aged newspaper reporter who takes on the task of uncovering the secret and getting the story out while "they" seek to silence him.
