Allen Caine is a resistance fightewr on futuristic Earth, tasked with locating 5 starships hidden 30 years before the humans lost a war to the Ryqril. Along the way, he links with the few remaining Blackcollars - elite guerilla warriors who will stop at nothing to free the TDE from the grip of the Ryqs and their human collaborators.

In this book, the primary character, Allen Caine, is a resistance fighter from Earth who is trying to overthrow the alien Ryqrils years after their successful invasion and occupation of the Earth and its colonies. Caine is given a mission to locate the elite Blackcollar unit on the former Earth colony of Plinry and give them the location of hidden starships that may give them the power to finally overthrow the alien occupation.
