The Broken Wing Book Summary and Study Guide

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of The Broken Wing

The Broken Wing is about Tessa Morley, the secretary to Quentin Otway, who is famous in the musical world as a director, and also a great singer in her own right. The problem is that she has a limp, so she could not have a stage career. A big music festival is coming up, and Tessa's sister Tania, who gets all the attention, begs for an audition to sing in a opera. She gets the job even though Oscar Warrendar, the great conductor, isn't so sure that she should. When they move to the festival grounds Tessa begins to fall for her boss, but thinks he doesn't like her(isn't that always the case!). Warrendar stumbles upon Tessa's secret of singing and secretly trains her to sing in the concert. Tessa and Quinton have a big fight, but they reconcile. Along the way Tessa thinks that Tania and Quinton are engaged. Is that the case?
