The Children We Remember Book Summary and Study Guide

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of The Children We Remember

A picture book about the Jewish experience of the Holocaust written for young children. Features stark juxtapositions of text (short sentences and phrases) and black and white photographs from the Yad Vashem archives. An honest look at the realitites of the Holocaust, tailored for young readers and their adult companions. There are some disturbing images, including one of a mother and child being executed. Although this is an excellent book for older children (7-10), it is not meant to be read without an adult being present to explain/mediate certain parts.
