Adrian Stannis desires to live a peaceful and quiet life away from all the space wars. However, Adrian is a scientist who has knowledge of weapons that can help the Empire against the aliens. The Empire wants the weapons that Adrian has the knowledge of.
Adrian does not want to help the Empire. The Empire begins torturing Adrian until he agrees to help. Adrian falls for a girl named Kali. Kali helps Adrian escape from the evils of the Empire.
While the Empire fights against the aliens, Adrian and Kali must escape and live a peaceful life which they always wanted.
Best part of story, including ending:
The thing I liked about this story was the love between Adrian and Kali. Their chemistry was great and made the story very worth reading. The way that Kali helped Adrian was very inspiring.
Best scene in story:
My favorite part of the book was when Adrian refuses to help even though he is being tortured. His will to not help the evil Empire while being tortured was admiring.
Opinion about the main character:
The thing I liked most about Adrian was that he had a vision of peace and pursued it. He did not like war and this was a good trait.
