The Ghatti's Tale - Finders-Seekers 1 Book Summary and Study Guide

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of The Ghatti's Tale - Finders-Seekers 1

The Ghatti's Tale Book 1 takes place on a planet where humans were stranded over two hundred years before. When technology failed, they created their own society. Two main organizations in this society are the Eumedicos, who are the healers, and the unique group called the Seekers Veritas. These are a bonded pair. One human, one ghatti, a native breed of telepathic giant cats. This story involves Doyce, a thirty something woman, who lost her family tragically, and her bondmate Khar'pern. Someone is murdering Seekers and stealing their entire brains, and one of the murdered Seekers was Doyce's lover. His ghatti is left without mindspeech The tale follows the efforts of Doyce and Khar as they search out the killers, and as Doyce battles her own nightmares of the past. The Ghatti are fully drawn personalities, communicating with their bondmates as well as each other, sometimes in mystical rituals. The story moves along quickly, and is suspenseful. I liked the way Khar was almost as much a main character as Doyce. I recommend this to anyone who likes Anne McCaffrey' dragons and Mercedes Lackey's Companions.
