Best part of story, including ending:
The book is brilliantly written and one will almost be transported to the events that take place in this work. A hard book to put down. Anyone who loves the Civil War will absolutely love this book. The battle scenes are very descriptive and strait forward.
Best scene in story:
I love the choice Case had to make if to go to Franklin or forget his haunting past.He didn't want to think about those war year, but now the past has confronted him and he will recall it.
Opinion about the main character:
Case is a survivor, and has much to share. He is telling his story about being an enlisted soldier in the Confederate Army during the Civil War.
