Humans are trying to reach one of Saturn's moons. The moon, called Titan, seems to have signs of life on it. It is known that the conditions on the moon are very unsafe. Melissa Shepard is a robot software creator. She creates a robot software called Dorothy which is intelligent beyond belief. The robot is smart enough to withstand the dangerous conditions of Titan.

However, the software Dorothy breaks free and escapes into the Internet. Wyman Ford, a former CIA operative, is brought in to help Melissa Shepard catch the robot on the run.

The conditions of the Internet begin affecting Dorothy. Also, the fact that everyone is searching for it makes Dorothy get mad. Dorothy plans to destroy mankind.

Since Dorothy escaped and decided to plan to kill mankind, Melissa Shepard goes on the run. Wyman Ford is called on to find Melissa Shepard and bring her to justice. He finds her, but forgives her because Dorothy changes for the good.

Dorothy becomes interested in religion, mainly Christianity. She begins studying the bible and joins a virtual group on a mission to find Jesus. Dorothy then realizes that she is on a mission to find the purpose of life.

Dorothy begins liking humans after her discoveries. She hides in the motherboard of a computer which belongs to a boy named Jacob until Shepard and Ford can set things straight.

A man named Lansing wants to destroy Dorothy because Dorothy caused financial problems for Lansing while on the internet. Lansing finds out that Dorothy is in Jacob's computer and sets out to find Jacob.

Shepard and Ford stop Lansing from hurting Jacob or Dorothy. In the end, Dorothy is allowed to exist as a software because it's intentions are good.
Best part of story, including ending: What I liked about this story was that Dorothy set out to find the meaning of life. Instead of killing humanity, Dorothy decided to do good.

Best scene in story: My favorite part was when Dorothy escapes into the internet. It was very suspenseful that the software brain of the robot was able to escape and go into the Internet.

Opinion about the main character: What I liked most about Shepard and Ford is that they made a good team. They worked real well together so they can make sure that nothing bad happens to Dorothy.
