Libby has her own secret. She is pregnant or thinks she may be. It is too early to tell. When she meets Jacob, they discuss their situations and after he tells her he cannot go through with the marriage, she tells him of her baby.
They are likable people, the only problem I had with this book was Jabob's stubburness in telling Libby he loved her. He was afraid to love again after his wife died. Women died in childbirth. He saied that over and over again. It became repetetive. Libby had her own annoying habits. She kept referring to the cabin as snug and sound. It was fine for the first visit to the cabin, but she said it numerous times and it became annoying.
