This is book two of the Vampire Chronicles, the first being Interview With A Vampire. Lestat was once an aristocrat in pre-revolutionary France. Now he is a rock star in 1980's America. He takes us back to his beginnings and through the centuries with him as he seeks to understand his immortality and the truth behind the mysteries of those of his kind.

Lestat is a young man in pre-revolutionary France when he is attacked violently by a Vampire. Lestat himself joins the dark ranks of the undead and spends the years that follow searching for the truth of his new existance. A fantastic novel of imagination and horror.
