Dana Ulrich was determined to make the upcoming 2 weddings successful. Being a new comer to the wedding planner business, she did not come off with a good start and her name was starting to drag through mud. The first wedding was Jack and Hannah McKay's. Hannah was expecting and the couple had put Jack's brother, Austin- a charming Texas rancher, in charge. Dana was wary of her attraction with the cow boy for he was not cut out for the city and would return to Texas after the wedding.

The second wedding was the much publicised match between Clark Oxley and Alison Van Hoek. Clark was her high school bully who had ridiculed her mercilessly after she turned down an offer to warm his bed. Clark looked reformed but to Austin, a leopard does not change its spots. But Dana was determined to follow through her plan for she did not want to be relegated to trailer-park tramp status-quo.
When Clark ominously plotted to ravish Dana prior to the wedding, Austin leapt to the rescue and in the midst of the brawl, was punched unconscious. Clark, coming from a powerful family and a future politician threatened to ruin Austin if Dana admitted to the truth. Dana, fearing for Austin, heeded Clark's instructions. Furious with Dana, Austin thought she was pretentious and driven by ambitions. He did not know Dana loved him enough to risk losing him.
