TOWER OF GLASS is a novel published in 1970.

Simeon Krug is a successful businessman with an obsession. Since alien audio signals have been picked up, Krug wants to be the first to communicate with the aliens. He starts to build a huge communication tower in the arctic. His employees are androids coming from his own factories. These androids have developed their own religion in which Simeon Krug plays the main role as a God who will make them equal to humans in a near future. But Krug, unaware of that, considers only androids as objects created to help him achieve his goal.
