A young man is aware of the monsters that live in human shells. He must try to stop them or they'll take over the world-again.

Slim MacKenzie can see things: goblins that hide inside the shell of humanity, feeding off of their suffering. After killing his 'uncle' he flees, winding up in a carnival. Befriended by people like him who can see the goblins, Slim wages war. First to find out who they are and what they want, and then to stop them.
