Retired General Harold Moore writes about the battle at IL Drang Valley in one of the first major confrotations between US and North Vietnamese forces in the Vietnam War. It was also one of the first major military helicopter operations in history. Moore gives details of the battle from the American perspective and took the trouble to interview and include the thoughts and recollections of his NVA counterpart.
