Friendship grows between Sydney and Michael as she educates him. Michael soon falls in love with Sydney.

After a trip to the zoo, Michael, knowing what it is like to be caged, decides to free the animals. Police are looking for him everywhere. Meanwhile, Michael's parents are discovered. Sydney must protect him until he is reunited with his family. But it breaks her heart knowing he will soon have a life without her.
